Adult Church Services
At Trinity, we’re about growing “deeper in Christ and further in mission.” Join us in:
JESUS 101, BIBLE 101, CHURCH 101:
People pick up knowledge as they can about who Jesus is, what the Bible says and what church is about, but often those ideas don’t connect and aren’t helpful. These three seminars offered on separate Saturday mornings fill in the gaps and present the whole story of Christian faith from the past and the hope going forward. Anyone is welcome with an RSVP. Consult the calendar for the next class.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL:
At 10 am on Sundays, we meet to study the Bible, Christian life and issues of concern from a Jesus-following point of view. Recently, we’ve been learning about Dietrich Bonhoeffer and the Confessing Church movement at the time of Hitler’s Germany…and the spiritual disciplines that helped Bonhoeffer and his students walk with the Lord through persecution, threat and death.
LENTEN DINNER AND BIBLE STUDY:
During the season of Lent, we meet weekly on Thursday evenings for dinner at 6:30 PM followed by Bible study and discussion around a theme. This year: Shame, Worthiness and God’s POV: Dr Brené Brown has raised the attention of many to our problems with “shame” – does what she says line up with what the Bible says? More about shame, guilt, honor, worthiness, forgiveness, love and belonging during this year’s Lenten Bible study.
SUMMER DINNER AND A BIBLE STUDY:
Every other week in July and August, a similar Dinner and a Bible Study takes place, with a kids’ club!
EVENING BIBLE STUDIES:
From time to time throughout the year, evening Bible studies are offered.
Also offered from time to time: the ALPHA Course; DivorceCare, Neighborhood Outreach Groups, Men’s Fellowship meetings and work days, and Women’s Fellowship meetings.
